Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia met with the students of the course “Judicial journalism” of the Faculty of Journalism of the Yerevan State University on November 14. The meeting was organized by Varduhi Petrosyan, assistant professor of the Faculty of Journalism of the Yerevan State University.

In response to questions of the future journalists, Anna Vardapetyan referred to the powers of the Prosecutor’s Office in the field of the protection of state (community) interests, works carried out in the field of confiscation of property of illicit origin, ways of overcoming the results of delayed justice, inadmissibility of corruption, especially patronage.

“Patronage is a type of corruption. Everyone knows in the Prosecutor’s Office, that it is prohibited to put a word for anyone. They know that giving advantage to the relatives and friends of the Prosecutor General is also impermissible,” highlighted Anna Vardapetyan and discussed issues with the students related to the profession, work and ethics.
