On  October 20, 2023, the prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against directors of three mineral extracting companies of Ararat region for violating legal requirements of subsoil use and conservation, for spoiling the land as a result whereof an essential amount of property damage (other damages as well) was caused to the state.

Particularly:

• From December 21, 2020 untill August 30, 2022, K.H., Director of “Arev Syuzi” LLC, without a right to extract minerals outside the limits prescribed by the licence deviated from the coordinates issued to the company and extracted a rock mass with the volume of 2748 cubic meters, which was the ownership of the state, thus violating the streambed of Araks river. As a result a property damage in the amount of AMD 1 million 359 thousand (large amount) was caused to the state, the streambed of Araks river was changed, the soil degraded, a lot of minerals were lost. At the same time K.H. failed to pay AMD 5 million penalty to the state  by using the subsoil without a license.

On October 20, 2023, the prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against K.H. under part 1 of article 383 and part 1 of article 381 of the Criminal Code adopted on 01.07.2022.

• From December 21, 2020 untill March 3, 2022, S. GH., Director of “Sargis and Pap” LLC, without a right to extract minerals outside the limits prescribed by the licence deviated from the coordinates issued to the company and extracted a rock mass with the volume of 63834 cubic meters, which was the ownership of the state, thus violating the streambed of Araks river. As a result a property damage in the amount of AMD 5 million 126 thousand (large amount) was caused to the state, the soil degraded, a lot of minerals were lost. At the same time K.H. failed to pay AMD 5 million penalty to the state by using the subsoil without a license.

     On October 20, 2023, the prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against S.GH. under part 1 of article 383 of the Criminal Code adopted on 01.07.2022.

• From December 21, 2020 untill March 2022, S.А., Director of “Sertig” LLC, without a right to extract minerals outside the limits prescribed by the licence deviated from the coordinates issued to the company and extracted a rock mass with the volume of 63834 cubic meters, which was the ownership of the state. As a result a property damage in the amount of AMD 4 million 892 thousand (large amount) was caused to the state, the soil degraded and lot of minerals were lost. At the same time K.H. failed to pay AMD 5 million penalty to the state by using the subsoil without a license.

     On 20 October 2023, the prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against S.A. under part 2 of article 291 of the Criminal Code adopted on 18.04.2003. 

         Notice:  A person charged with any crime shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code—by the judgment came into legal force.
