On September 14, Srbuhi Galyan, Deputy Prosecutor General coordinating the functions of confiscation of property of illicit origin, met with Alice French, IMF Anti-corruption sector expert.

During the meeting reference was made to the functions of the Prosecutor General’s Office in the field of anti-corruption, the scope of its powers, cooperation with international legal organizations, challenges of examination of corruption cases, as well as success stories in the anti-corruption sector.  

In this context, among other things, the Deputy Prosecutor General highlighted 3 reconciliation agreements reached in the field of confiscation of property of illicit origin as a result whereof, property with the value of USD 5 million was returned to the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting they reached an agreement on deepening the cooperation with International Monetary Fund.
