On August 10, 2023, the Anti-corruption court of appeal granted the special review appeal submitted by the prosecutor against the decision of the Anti-corruption court, rendered on 11 July 2023 and detention was applied as a measure of restraint against V.G. former director of Sevan National Park SNCO. 

We would like to remind that on June 29, 2023 by the initiative of the prosecutor a public criminal prosecution was initiated against V.G., director of “Sevan National Park” SNCO for embezzlement, official forgery, fraud and money laundering.

By the preliminary examination it was found out that during 2016-2017 in the scope of the agreement concluded between the SNCO and “Research Institute of Environment and Natural Resources”  LLC, V.G. drafted fraudulent delivery and acceptance protocole, act and using his official powers embazzaled through waste AMD 3 million 683 thousand from the SNCO with a group of individuals.  

Besides, in the scope of the purchase agreement concluded between the SNCO and “Karen Aghababyan Ernesti” IE on July 11, 2017, V.G., with a group of individuals, embazzeled AMD 3 billion form the SNCO through waste.

 In addition to the abovementioned V.G. drafted fraudulent reports in the scope of the contract on the use of financial support provided by the state in the form of a grant concluded between the SNCO and the  Ministry of Environment on October 2, 2017 and embazzaled AMD 20 million 969 thousand. Afterwards carried out money laundering in especially large amounts of the money of illicit origin.
