A.A. occupying the position of the Deputy Director of the Yerevan Special Educational Complex for Children with Hearing Disorders from 2015 to 2019 and being aware of the full time educator vacancy, appointed his acquaintance L.S. to the said position with official forged documents.

L.S. did not attend work during the mentioned period but was paid 2 million 797 thousand 529 AMD as salary, vacation payment and other payments. The accountant N.A. was aware of this but included L.S.’s name in the employees’ monthly working time sheet and submitted for the Director’s signature, who was not aware of this fact. The money was transferred to the account in the name of L.S. but in fact owned by A.A., who cashed out and used the money.

In addition, during the period from December 15, 2017 to December 20, 2018, A.A. purchased                       1 million 445 thousand 307 AMD worth of gifts and food from different companies for the organization of the New Year's events, which were not allocated to pupils. At the same period A.A. misappropriated the goods of 3 million 770 thousand 807 AMD delivered to the Complex for its needs.

He wrote off petrol checks equivalent to 2 million 45 thousand 500 AMD from the funds of the Complex, thereby unlawfully taking the mentioned amount.

On January 2, 2023 the Prosecutor adopted as decision to initiate public criminal prosecution against Deputy Director A.A. under Clauses 1 and 3 of Article 179(2) of the RA Criminal Code adopted on 18.04.2003. Charge was brought to A.A., the Deputy Director of the Complex.

During the preliminary investigation, the damage of 8 million 613 thousand 836 AMD caused to the Complex by the accused A.A. was fully recovered.

On June 27, 2023, the files of the criminal proceedings were sent to the Anti-Corruption Court with an indictment.
