Another appeal regarding confiscation of property of illegal origin has been accepted for proceedings

On June 27, 2023, the Anti-corruption Court accepted another appeal regarding confiscation of property of illegal origin for proceedings.

 

The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the Prosecutor General’s Office submitted a claim to the Court to confiscate from Dz.H., the former President of Medical and Social Examination Committee No. 6 of the RA Medical and Social Examination Agency of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and his affiliated persons in favor of the Republic of Armenia:

 

  • One immovable property located in Yerevan, and in case of impossibility, its average market value, which is 38 million 800 thousand AMD,

 

  • Deposits in the amount of 80 thousand USD, as well as 130 million 875 thousand 843 AMD as the balance of illegal income,

 

  • 4 million 287 thousand 647 AMD, which is not justified by the legal income of the person, has an illegal origin and is subject to confiscation based on Article 20(4) of the Law.
