Today Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia received Mrs. Nida Grunskienė, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Lithuania, who had arrived to participate in the event of the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the RA Prosecutor's Office and in the conference organized jointly with the Office of the Council of Europe.
Mrs. Anna Vardapetyan expressed her gratitude to the Lithuanian colleague for accepting the invitation and for willingness to sign a Memorandum of Understanding /MoU/.
The RA Prosecutor General emphasized that Armenia had always attached importance to the development of cooperation with Lithuania, which is directed at the strengthening of friendship between the two nations.
During the meeting Anna Vardapetyan, RA Prosecutor General and Nida Grunskienė, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Lithuania signed a MoU, aimed at expanding the cooperation between the Prosecutor's Offices of Armenia and Lithuania in the field of criminal justice, ensuring the protection of human rights and freedoms and strengthening the rule of law.
Exchange of experience, mutual visits and organization of joint conferences are provided by the MoU, which will contribute to the further expansion of cooperation between the Prosecutor's Offices of the two countries and increase the effectiveness of the fight against transnational
