By the decision of the supervising prosecutor, on May 12, 2023, public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.M., the former Director and 2 other individuals with the criminal proceedings (case) regarding the alleged abuses discovered in the "Surb Grigor Lusavorich" Medical Center CJSC.

During the preliminary investigation, on November 29, 2022, A.M., the former Director of the "Surb Grigor Lusavorich" Medical Center CJSC was involved as an accused under article 179, part 3, point 1 (squandering or embezzlement in particularly large amount), article 325, part 2 (forgery, sale or use of forged documents), article 38-325, part 2 (accomplices to forgery, sale or use of forged documents), article 214, part 2 (abuse of authority by the employees of commercial or other organizations) of the Criminal Code, dated 18.04.2003.

On May 12, 2023, the supervising prosecutor initiated public criminal prosecution against T.G., Deputy Head of the adult’s polyclinic of "Surb Grigor Lusavorich" Medical Center CJSC and A.M., Head of the service for state orders paperwork under article 38-178, part 3, point 1 (accomplices to swindling in particularly large amount) and article 325, part 2 (forgery, sale or use of forged documents, stamps, seals, letter-heads, vehicle license plates) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, dated 18.04.2003.

It was found in the results of the preliminary investigation, that T.G., occupying the position of the Deputy Head of the adult’s polyclinic of "Surb Grigor Lusavorich" Medical Center CJSC, from May, 2014 to September, 2017, in conspiracy with A.M., Head of the service for state orders paperwork and other employees of the medical center assisted in the embezzlement of particularly large property of 908 million 47 thousand 850 AMD by the director of the Medical Center.

On May 12, 2023, the supervising prosecutor sent the decision on initiating public criminal prosecution to the Investigative Committee in order to file a new charge against the accused in accordance with article 190 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
