The 24th appeal referring to the confiscation of property of illegal origin is under Seising

On December 27, 2022, The Anti-Corruption Court has seised 24th appeal submitted by the Prosecutor General’s Office referring to the confiscation of property of illegal origin.                                                                                                                                                                 

 

The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia has filled a claim to the court to confiscate from T.M., the Deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, the former Mayor of Yerevan, six affiliated persons in favor of the Republic of Armenia:

 

 

  • Six residential buildings situated at the Avan Administrative District of Yerevan, one territory of public importance, one country house situated in Jermuk, Vayots Dzor region, two transportation means, in the case of impossibility: the average market value of them, which is 1.528.800.500 AMD.
  • The average market value of participation in one legal person.
  • The average market values of one immovable and three movable properties in Yerevan.
  • 853.402.782 AMD, from which 755.154.928 AMD as a remnant of the illegal income and 98.247.854 AMD, which isn’t justified by the person’s legal incomes, has illegal origin and it is impossible to confiscate in accordance with the 4th part of the Article 20 of the Law on confiscation of property of illegal origin (if the property of illegal origin has been transferred to a conscientious buyer or it is impossible to identify, separate and confiscate, according to the decision of court, in the case of availability of appropriate request it can be confiscated a money in the size of market value of property of illegal origin from the respondent at the time of filing the claim).
